Pharmacology & Toxicology trainees receive research awards at annual meeting of the Society of Toxicology

Six trainees in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology received research awards at the annual meeting of the Society of Toxicology held in San Diego, California March 27-31, 2022.

Trainees of Professor John Wise Sr.

Aggie Williams received the Bristol Myers Squibb Graduate Student Training Award to Promote Diversity and the second place Graduate Student Award from the Metals Specialty Section

Jennifer Toyoda received the Environmental Carcinogenesis Merit Award for Graduate Students from the Carcinogenesis Specialty Section

Idoia Meaza received the third place Darm V. Singh Graduate Student Award from the Carcinogenesis Specialty Section, the third place Graduate Student Research Award from the Metals Specialty Section, and first place in the Graduate Student Leadership Committee three minute thesis competition.

Haiyan Lu received the fourth place Darm V. Singh Graduate Student Award from the Carcinogenesis Specialty Section.

Trainees of Professor J. Christopher States

Alexandra Nail received the first place Stratacor Postdoctoral Research Award from the Dermal Toxicology Specialty Section and first place in hte Postdoctoral Leadership Committee three minute thesis competition.

Anna Ferragut Cardoso received the first place Metals Specialty Section Postdoctoral Research Award.
