Another year, another successful fellowship match for UofL residents

UofL training program continues a tradition of excellence as internal medicine graduates prepare to move on to the next phase of their careers
Another year, another successful fellowship match for UofL residents

UofL Internal Medicine Residency Class of 2023

The fellowship match quest was again successful for several members of the University of Louisville Internal Medicine Residency Program as many found out their future path following their graduation in 2023.

Seven of those will continue their careers at UofL.

That success came in the face of spending another year battling through the upheaval of a global pandemic.

"We could not be prouder of our residents," Jennifer Olges, M.D., director of the UofL Internal Medicine Residency Program said. "Their entire residency has taken place during a global pandemic, but they didn't let that stop them from pursuing their dreams. Their hard work and commitment resulted in a number of amazing fellowship opportunities.

"We celebrate their successes as they embark on this next chapter of their training. I am particularly grateful to all of our faculty who supported and mentored our residents to this accomplishment"

Nearly all of the program's internal medicine residents have successfully matched into their choice of fellowship over the past several years.
