Welcome!

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is recruiting applicants for its subspecialty fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The program is open to all eligible applicants regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.

The ideal candidates are those interested in a superb training in the nation’s premier center for mechanical circulatory support and end stage therapy for heart failure.

Our program performs over 70 LVADS annually and 18-20 transplants per year and offers a comprehensive service for the treatment of patients with advanced heart failure. We have extensive experience in myocardial recovery and translational research.

To be eligible, candidates must be certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Cardiovascular Medicine or a graduate of an ACGME accredited program in Cardiovascular Medicine (PGY7).
