Kristine J. Krueger, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Chief of Academic and Clinical Affairs for the UofL Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, received her medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.

She is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Since her arrival at UofL in 2000, Dr. Krueger has steadily ascended the ranks, and in addition to her division chief duties also serves as the chief of staff for UofL Health - UofL Hospital and department vice chair for clinical affairs.

Meanwhile, she has also held several other positions, including Assistant Dean for Administration of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, medical director for the UofL Digestive Health Center, and vice-chief of staff for UofL Health - UofL Hospital.

On a national level, Dr. Krueger served as a chair and member of the American College of Gastroenterology Constitution & Bylaws and Educational Affairs Committees.

Dr. Krueger remains one of the most clinically active gastroenterologists in the division. She is a therapeutic endoscopist, and performs 500-1000 cases yearly, as well as attending at UofL Health - UofL Hospital, and seeing private patients.
