Nicole is a 2015 graduate of West Jessamine High School, where she was awarded the Social Studies Award for her experience with and intention to further pursue public service. She was an ambassador at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar, which sparked her passion in community service. She co-founded the Moving Pictures Film Club and served as president of her school's Y Club, where she led delegations at the Kentucky Youth Assembly and the Kentucky United Nations Assembly. She is an avid volunteer for the Prichard Committee Student Voice Team. During her senior year, she crafted, lobbied for, and publicized a bill in the Kentucky legislature advocating for the presence of a student on a superintendent screening committee. This led to her being featured in The Associated Press, The New York Times, and The Atlantic. Nicole was a 2014 Kentucky Governor's Scholar at Morehead State University.
