Gzeonie Hampton, of Radcliff, Ky., is a member of the McConnell Scholar Class of 2021 at the University of Louisville, where she studies political science, English and Arabic. She is a member of the UofL Honors Program and a Woodford R. Porter Scholar.

High School

 Gzeonie is a 2017 graduate of North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Kentucky, where she was the junior class secretary and campaign director for the 2017 senior class president. She was also a member of the marching band, academic team, the archery team, and the student council. Gzeonie was a varsity athlete in both cross country and track and field. During her senior year Gzeonie received second place in Senior Fashion Design for Kentucky Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. In BETA club she was the club secretary during her sophomore year. Among other service in her community, Gzeonie was the president and executive officer of professional and educational opportunities of a “by teens, for teens” small not-for profit business that mentored adolescents- that are referred from the local school system and the court system. She was a 2016 Kentucky Governor’s Scholar at Northern Kentucky University.
