An international panel of communication scholars will consider the perils and possibilities of the Internet as it relates to free speech in a free and public panel entitled "From Gutenberg to the Internet: Free Speech in the Internet Era and Implications for Democracy."

Russell L. Weaver (Louis D. Brandeis School of Law), Ron Krotoszynski (University of Alabama School of Law), Tobias Keber (Johannes Gutenberg University) and John Knecthtle (Florida Coastal School of Law) will sit on the panel.

"Traditional understandings of free speech rights are hitting up against the technological revolution in ways that will change both law and practice for a long time to come," said Gary Gregg, director of the McConnell Center. "I hope this panel discussion sheds new light on these important developments."

The free and public event is co-sponsored with The Federalist Society. Free food will be available from Chick-fil-A.
