About

The readings for this conference explore six occasions when resistance was made against central authority in the early American republic. The dissenters profiled in this conference acted from the historical understanding contained in the Anglo-Saxon political and legal experience of the constant need to protect liberty.

Kentucky social studies teachers grades 5-12 are eligible to apply; limited to 15. Preference will be given to teachers who have not participated in a McConnell Center professional development opportunity. Extensive pre-reading required.
