What I like about Brandeis/Law School:
What I like about Brandeis the most is its heritage and it's atmosphere. Louis D. Brandeis's nickname was the "People's Lawyer" and that is the type of lawyer I want to be in the future. Brandeis's atmosphere is not like most schools, the ability to make lifelong friends and have Professor's and staff members that are always helpful and friendly is something I'll never take for granted.

What I like about Brandeis/Law School:
Something I like about Brandeis is the laid-back atmosphere fostered by the students. Everyone wants everyone to succeed which is awesome considering the stereotypical cutthroat environment you think of when someone mentions law school.
Who has influenced me the most:
My parents have influenced me the most. They have always encouraged me to follow my passions and have taught me how to adapt in many different environments with different people (for example, I will have lived in four different states and two different countries in the past six years). Academically, I would like to give shoutouts to Prof. Levinson and Brandeis alums Andrew Weeks and Chad Eisenback for inspiring me to pursue employment law. Career Goals: I want to practice plaintiff’s-side employment law. I am really passionate about workers’ rights and I have focused my summer jobs, service hours, and research on honing my skills for my future practice. J. Trevor SalzmanClass of 2024 Why Brandeis? Brandeis School of Law was always going to be my first choice. Being from Louisville, I hold UofL in the highest esteem and I will always be honored for the privilege to have attended an institution of this caliber. What have you learned since your 1L year? Outside of a few more gray hairs... I have developed the mindset of a legal professional. Even the basics, such as how to read and write, have been altered and sharpened by Brandeis to be a successful attorney and properly support future clients. And I can’t forget my study group/friends, Casa de Perro, whom I met during my 1L year and now consider some of the best and brightest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. |
Dennis "Trey" W. Martin, IIIClass of 2024 Why Brandeis? Law school is a way for me to maximize my abilities and my reach from a professional and career perspective. Brandeis was my choice for a multitude of reasons: location, dedication to public service, affordability, and the warm welcome I have felt from staff and admin since the day I accepted my offer. What have you learned since your 1L year? I have become much more aware of things going on in the world around me and I have grown to appreciate and understand differences between myself and my peers on a much more personal level. |
