Languages, Department of Fine Arts and the Hite Art Institute, and
LALS.
Thursday, October 28 – Saturday, November 6, 2010: Downtown Day of the Dead Celebration.
LALS will co-sponsor this celebration in collaboration with our
Community Partner Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, the UofL Arts and
Culture Partnerships Initiative, Fine Arts Department and the Hite Art
Institute, and Brown-Forman. LALS will erect altars at KMAC to the
victims of the Haitian and Chilean earthquakes, and in Gallery X of
Schneider Hall, LALS and Fine Arts will erect an altar to those who
perished while constructing the Panama Canal. Grand Celebration will be
held at KMAC on Trolley Hop Night, Friday, November 5, 2010;
5:00-10:00pm.
