Biography

As an award-winning teacher and published scholar with a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, Professor Wu is dedicated to helping students learn about China, its language, people, and culture. In her 13 years of experience in both American and Chinese universities, she has taught Chinese language on all levels to students from over fifty countries. She has also lectured these students on wide-ranging aspects of Chinese culture. 

Throughout her career, Professor Wu has sought to extend her commitment to education by “teaching teachers.”  She has taught courses to both undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. In addition, she has given demo classes, some of which were video-taped, to train new teachers.
