National Wood-To-Energy Roadmap - A Guide for Developing Sustainable Woody Biomass Solutions Webinar
Join the 25x’25 Alliance for this informative webinar.
July 19, 2011
12 noon - 1:15 p.m. ET
The use of biomass for energy production has recently captured widespread interest as the United States strives to replace both domestic and foreign fossil fuels with home-grown, renewable energy. Biomass—including woody material from forests—is the only renewable energy source that can potentially provide a combination of heat, electricity and liquid transportation fuels.
This webinar will coincide with the 25x’25 Alliance’s release of a new report, National Wood-To-Energy Roadmap - A Guide for Developing Sustainable Woody Biomass Solutions, developed by the 25x’25 Wood-to-Energy Work Group. The report, and this webinar, explore four topics vital to the future of biomass energy in America: wood demand and supply, sustainability of forest resources, carbon and climate change and related policies. The report will be available on the 25x’25 website on Monday, July 18, in advance of the webinar.
