A number of prominent corporations and small businesses, driven by consumer awareness and environmental realities, are embracing the business value of going green. These firms realize that business success today means not just a healthy bottom line, but a healthy triple bottom line that takes financial, social and environmental performance into consideration - the essence of sustainability.
- TBA, Georgia Department of Natural Resources Sustainability Division
This presentation will focus on the Sustainability Division’s “Sustainable Office Toolkit” which is a set of resources and tools to help businesses of all types and sizes move toward sustainable practices.
- Cam Metcalf, Executive Director, Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center
Mr. Metcalf is co-author of the U.S. EPA publication "An Organizational Guide to P2". He will walk participants through this guide, which provides information to help organizations get P2 programs started or to re-evaluate existing P2 programs. It presents an alternative method for working on P2 projects and four approaches to implementing a P2 program in an organization. This guide is intended to spark ideas and provide tools that can be used to successfully complete an organization's P2 mission.
- Brandon Pelissero, Chief Operations Officer, EcoLink Inc.
Mr. Pelissero is a self proclaimed “green hypocrite in recovery”. He will discuss how the “Lean and Green” tools have transformed his business to be more efficient with great environmental results.
