KREC’s recently published 25x'25 Roadmap for Kentucky, and the Governor’s 7-Part Energy Strategy will be topics for discussion. The meeting will also focus on the economic benefits of developing renewable energy in Kentucky and how the state could become a major producer and research center as the renewable energy industry grows.
KREC was established in 2005 by a federal direct appropriation and has been successful in building partnerships with government, industry, the public, and higher education and in providing more than $1.4 million in research grants to Kentucky universities. KREC is administered by KPPC at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
