During this three-day workshop, an operational photovoltaic system will be available to provide hands-on experiences with system components. Participants will be able to view wiring, mounting and programming features up close and will walk through the commissioning and troubleshooting process with the instructor. The model PV system used for the workshop will be a 1.4 KW battery-based off-grid system, built onto a Mobile Classroom trailer. Ample time for questions will be provided.

Registration fee for the three-day workshop is $415, and includes lunch and refreshments each day.
Prerequisite: Prior introductory training or experience with PV.
This workshop is presented by Appalachia – Science in the Public Interest and the Kentucky Solar Partnership as part of their Sustainable Energy Training Series. The series is oriented towards professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and the scope of services they offer, as well as others interested in learning more about these important fields.
Thanks to Mountain Association for Community Economic Development (MACED), financial support is available to residents of eastern Kentucky in the form of low-interest loans to cover registration fees and grants to cover travel expenses.
