At KREC's December Quarterly Meeting, members will learn about the findings of the Biomass Task Force. In addition, Cam Metcalf will discuss the many KREC efforts that may be less well-known to members. This presentation will include a look at KREC's technical assistance activities and partnership with the KEEPS program. This meeting will revisit issues raised at the September Carbon Forum, which will give members a chance to discuss the topic and ask remaining questions. Finally, the initial activity of KREC's competitive grants program research projects will be presented as well.
KREC was established in 2005 by a federal direct appropriation and has been successful in building partnerships with government, industry, the public and higher education, and in providing more than $1.4 million in research grants to Kentucky universities. KREC is administered by KPPC at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
