The goal of the conference is to create a conversation among government, business and community leaders on how to take advantage of opportunities and tackle the energy and environmental challenges presented in today’s global economy.
As in previous years, this year’s event will have a mix of general plenary sessions that cover topics of interest important to all Kentuckians as well as breakout sessions that allow for participants to pursue areas of particular interest.
Plenary sessions will include a discussion of Kentucky’s energy future; a business/industry roundtable discussion on sustainability; and the impact of the recent court ruling on the Cross State Air Pollution Rule.
Breakout sessions will cover such topics as an update on Kentucky’s Battery Manufacturing R & D Center; bio-products; Stimulating Energy Efficiency in Kentucky initiative; environmental trends; natural gas production; and other items.
Registration and additional information.
Students and K-12 educators wanting to attend the conference on a scholarship are requested to fill out a scholarship application and email to Tammy Hurst or fax to 502-564-9634.
