A Wrap-up of KREC's June 24th Quarterly Meeting in Lexington

KREC held its June Quarterly Meeting on the 24th at Spindletop Hall in Lexington. The meeting featured presentations from Dr. Keith Sharp, Dr.Vijay Singh and Dr. Mark McGinley, who reported on the progress of research from their KREC Competitive Grants Program projects. Frank Moore, from the Kentucky Department for Energy Development and Independence, spoke about the economic importance of a biomass industry in Kentucky.
Forty-six attendees, representing business, government, higher education and the public, heard the presentations and participated in discussions and question-and-answer sessions during the meeting. KPPC Executive Director Cam Metcalf presented updates on KREC activites and KREC members and guests had the opportunity to network and share information about renewable energy research, initiatives and business opportunities in Kentucky.
