Using School Energy Competitions to Drive Energy Savings

Broadcast Date: July 13, 2011

Webinar Overview

Building on the great things that Kentucky school districts have already been doing in regards to energy efficiency, district-wide energy competitions introduce another outreach mechanism that can help achieve buy-in from stakeholders from across the district.

This webinar's featured speaker is Chris Curtis, Energy Manager for Larue, Hart, Green and Taylor county public school districts as well as Elizabethtown and Campbellsville independent school districts.  Mr. Curtis is part of the Kentucky School Energy Managers Project and has facilitated several district-wide and school-based energy competitions, which have received positive response and results.

Additionally, KEEPS Regional Coordinator Adam Hoette demonstrates the KEEPS Energy Report Card and KEEPS Energy Checklist energy performance assessment tools, which can be used to manage and compare school energy data for use in competition.
