Alliance to Save Energy’s Green Schools Program
Encourages schools to save energy through facility retrofits, maintenance and operations procedures as well as improved behavior patterns.

Provides information and illustrations on advanced lighting, daylighting, commissioning, building envelope, mechanical systems, integrated design and sustainable design.

Building Commissioning Association
Promotes building commissioning practices that maintain high professional standards and fulfill building owners’ expectations.

Collaborative for High Performance Schools

A program that provides information for schools interested in receiving a high-performance rating.

Council of Educational Facility Planners International
A professional association whose sole mission is to improve the places where children learn. Association members are individuals, institutions and corporations who are actively involved in planning, designing, building, equipping and maintaining schools.

Daylighting and Productivity Report
A report that focuses on the impact of daylighting on student performance.

Energy Hog
Provides energy conservation information developed for children and adults by the Alliance to Save Energy and the Ad Council.

ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager
KEEPS - Kentucky Energy Efficiency Program for Schools - uses the ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager as a resource for its Energy Management Training System. This tool shows KEEPS participants how to benchmark, manage, invest and verify building performance.

ENERGY STAR® Target Finder
A tool that helps determine an annual energy target for a building’s design, compares energy use from simulations with set targets, monitors a building design’s energy performance as plans progress and evaluates the cost-effectiveness of energy efficiency measures associated with a building’s design.

A project of the Illinois EPA and the Waste Management Research Center.

The Kenton County School District Energy Program
The district's E=WISE2 program is a student-led energy and environmental awareness initiative that has resulted in more than $1 million in energy cost avoidance for the disrtrict.

Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools
Provides self-directed inventories for faculty and student teams to assess energy consumption and other sustainability opportunities in their schools.

Kentucky School Plant Management Association
Promotes and enhances the educational process through proper management practices related to school operations and maintenance. It is part of a national non-profit organization, the Energy Services Coalition, which is composed of a network of experts from a wide range of organizations that work together at the state and local level to increase energy efficiency and building upgrades through ESPC.
