Step 7 - Recognize Achievements
The seventh step of the energy management process focuses on how a school district can recognize and reward its Energy Management Program's achievements. Recognizing achievements helps sustain momentum and support for the school district's Energy Management Program. It establishes a sense of pride for district administrators, faculty, staff and students who dedicate their time, effort and energy to the program and helps validate the program's goals.
District-level and school-level Energy Teams are encouraged to establish internal recognition opportunities as a means to help the district take ownership of its Energy Management Program.
External recognition opportunities from state and national programs, non-profit organizations and other third-party organizations further validate the school district's energy management initiatives and strengthen the district's position as an exemplary steward of the community it serves.
The KEEPS Energy Management Toolkits are self-guided training modules that provide information and resources about the components of the seven-step energy management process.
