Rudy Garcia named KY School Social Worker of the Year

Rudy Garcia

Prof. Rudy Garcia, a Kent School graduate and part-time faculty member, has been named the 2022 KY School Social Worker of the Year by the Kentucky Association of School Social Work. In addition to his work here at Kent, Prof. Garcia is also a Student Support Specialist for Hardin County Schools (HCS).  He began working with HCS in 2011.  He coordinates the district’s student dropout prevention program and implementation of the HCS Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. He also works with mental health agencies on boards and committees and supervises social work interns from numerous post-secondary institutions. Congratulations Prof. Garcia!
