New grant project partnering with Catholic Charities of Louisville
The Kent School of Social Work and Family Science was recently awarded a grant for a project to work in collaboration with Catholic Charities of Louisville. The“Refugees Mental Health Needs Assessment” grant will support professional services for the Kentucky Office of Refugees in its planning and setting of program goals, scope of services and activities that as required in the ORR’s Refugee Mental Health Initiative within the Health Promotion Program Policy Letter 22-06 (P.L. 22-06).
The scope of work will consist of three components: 1) a statewide mental health needs assessment of refugees, 2) an assessment of the implementation of the RHS-15 in refugee mental health screenings, and 3) identification of the specific mental health needs of recently arrived Afghan refugees.
This project will be led by Co-P.I.’s - Dr. Bibhuti Sar, Dr. Adrian Archuleta and Dr. Lesley Harris.
