National Social Work Teach-In on Police Brutality as a form of Structural Racism

Kent Professor, Dr. Sharon Moore, was recently a panelist on a national social work teach-in on police brutality as a form of structural racism. The event was hosted by #SWEduActs, a national group of faculty interested in creating more equitable and just social work educational practices, and Fordham University GSS on October 27th.  Together, over 600 attendees representing 100 Schools of Social Work, watched the TED talk by Kimberlé Crenshaw on Intersectionality, followed by a discussion featuring Dr. Sharon Moore, Dr. Tina Sacks and Mel Wilson from NASW national.
