Workshop Description
This workshop will examine the mental health symptoms that elderly population exhibit as they begin to age in our society. The various types of mental health diagnoses will be discussed with the most prevalent ones (Depression and Anxiety) to be at the forefront of the conversation. The manner which mental illness present symptomatically will be examined so that the practitioner may begin to assess whether its origin is organic or a true mental illness. Evidenced Based Practices will be introduced for participants to become familiar with what modalities of treatment are therapeutically viable and yield the best clinical benefits for the clientele.
