CFT Scholarships

ALL CFT SCHOLARSHIPS HAVE A PRIORITY DEADLINE OF JANUARY 31ST AND A REGULAR DEADLINE OF MARCH 15TH.


The CFT program Summer Scholarship

Applicants must be admitted to the CFT program and 1) have a minimum 3.0 GPA, 2) financial need and 3) submit a 2-3 page essay regarding your plans for practicing marriage/couple family therapy after graduation by January 31st for priority consideration.


 Joe & Carolyn Brown CFT program Scholarship

Students must be applying and admitted to the CFT program, have a minimum 3.5 gpa, demonstrate financial need, and submit a 2-3 pp essay describing your commitment to working with low income families within the community, particularly diverse populations, as evidenced by prior or current work/volunteer experience, leadership skills and/or professional association memberships. Non-resident applicants encouraged to apply. Apply by January 31st for priority consideration (only offered in odd years 2019, 2021).


 Jenny Hoertz CFT program Scholarship

$6000 per year for two years of CFT study. Students must be applying and admitted to the CFT program, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and submit a 2-3 page essay describing your plans for practicing marriage/couple family therapy after graduation. Ethnic and other cultural minority applicants are encouraged to apply. Apply by January 31st.


 Northstar CFT Scholarship

The Northstar Scholarship offers one-time financial assistance ($1500) for an incoming or returning CFT student. Students must have a minimum undergraduate 3.0 GPA and submit a 2-3 page essay addressing how your academic achievements, community service activities, examples of leadership and personal characteristics have prepared you to become a professional in this field. What would you bring to the practice that would be unique or different than other therapists you have experienced and how would this positively impact the field of marriage and family therapy? Non KY residents and minority students are encouraged to apply. Apply by January 31st for priority consideration.
