Course Description:

This course will be an in-depth analysis of the many interactions animals have with the American criminal justice system. The core focus will be on animals as victims of crime, particularly the intersection of IPV, child abuse and juvenile crime.  Ways to prevent crimes against animals and emerging rehabilitative therapies will be analyzed from an evidence-based, results driven perspective.

NOTE: Registration is recommended at least one week before the start of the course to complete the pre-work component.
