Alex Widdowson, assistant professor of criminal justice in the department of criminal justice, received the Early Career Researcher Award from the American Society of Criminology’s Division of Developmental and Life-Course Criminology. This honor is awarded to researchers that have made a significant scholarly contribution to life-course criminology in their early career. Widdowson has consistently published his work in top outlets for criminal justice and criminology research, including, “Criminology, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency,” and “Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice.”
