Bruce S. Ponder grew up in part of the raj of the Maharaja of Dharbhanaga and in Europe and is formally trained in political science, computer information systems, and computer sciences. He was a professional race car driver, winning such major competitions as the “12 Hours of Sebring” (1972). He also studied terrorism extensively and team-taught in-service training programs for the Southern Police Institute. Currently he is Internet coordinator/online course developer and team instructor in a variety of courses in the Criminal Justice Department, particularly in terrorism, intelligence and homeland security. He is also co-author of Corrections in America, 15th edition (2019) and is at work on an Introduction to Terrorism text. Corrections in America is the longest continuously published textbook in the field (1975-2019).
