Hiring Process Snapshot

  1. Dept. creates a new job posting in PeopleSoft
  2. HR approves, posts job on UofL jobs page
  3. Dept./Search Committee review applications
  4. Dept. determines preferred candidate
  5. Dept. submits job offer for approval by HR
  6. HR reviews and gives approval for contingent offer
  7. Dept. makes contingent offer to preferred candidate
  8. Dept. submits criminal background and education check
  9. Dept. updates offer in PeopleSoft when checks are completed and notifies HR of hire/orientation date
  10. HR closes out the position and signs the new hire for New Employee Orientation
