JOB SUMMARY

Provide administrative and operational support to a department, generalist knowledge of departmental work, first tier problem resolution with customers, assist in the coordination of office functions such as purchasing, payroll, records management, budget preparation, special reports, and other related activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process issues related to department, investigate subject matter, and send resolution.

Assist customers by phone or walk-in to resolve payroll and benefits problems, answer questions, interpret policies and procedures, or make referrals to appropriate vendors.

Maintain current information of policies and programs and process matters within established policies.

Review records and reports and provide first level of response on issue.

Perform fiscal, personnel, purchasing, statistical, reporting, and other major office functions.

Perform special assignments and research and report preparations.

May represent supervisor at meetings to furnish or obtain information.

Participates on cross-unit teams to strengthen all department’s products and services

Assists with coordinating and participates in on site vendor visits, workshops etc.

Leads projects as assigned by supervisor or department head.

Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS

Bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.

EXPERIENCE

Three years of experience.
