JOB SUMMARY

Represent the President and his spouse in the coordination of all University-wide events.  Assure that the University’s mission and interests are presented with dignity and proper protocol.   Carry out special assignments as directed by the president and directs all activities of the office of Special Events and Programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise departmental staff.

Act for the President in the planning, executing and follow-up of University-wide events.  Assures proper coordination.

Coordinate special programs designated by the President.

Assure that a list of special friends of the University is maintained up-to-date and edited for proper use.

Serve as the University’s expert on appropriate protocol and etiquette as related to dignitaries, major donors, elected officials, and other University contacts.

Manage a University-wide calendar of special events.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Master’s Degree

EXPERIENCE

Ten years of related experience.  An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
