Plans, directs, maintains, implements and represents a school’s technology needs.  Sets the strategic direction of technology projects.


-          Direct school’s IT staff and IT needs.  Delegate tasks.

-          Plan and manage school’s IT projects.

-          Plan, approve, negotiate, and direct all school’s technology systems and resources, including desktop, network hardware, software & audio/visual multimedia services.

-          Develop effective and efficient means to operate and support the school’s information technology systems and services.

-          Oversee technical, programmatic and vendor support for high technology components of labs, simulation labs, electronic health records, audio/visual, auditorium hall, information monitors, faculty/staff work areas, etc.

-          Manage school’s IT financial resources.

-          Support the IT needs of faculty, staff, and students.

-          Manage hardware and software vendor relationships.

-          Develop/propose IT policies and procedures for the school.  Develop and maintain computing standards for faculty, staff and students.

-          Plan, implement, manage and upgrade school’s virtual environment.

-          Liaise with University IT, networking, policy compliance and other departments as needed.

-          May implement, manage and maintain the school’s servers including data storage, document imaging, databases and application servers.

-          May oversee school’s IT service center, rack space, & virtual rental.

-          May provide facilities support.



Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field


Seven years of experience. Additional experience may not be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.
