Provide computer related statistical consulting services for researchers, other faculty, graduate students, and staff, in the areas of statistical software, programming, and technical concerns.


Advise and assist researchers in the use of appropriate statistical software techniques for computer processing data to meet specific research requirements.

Under the supervision of senior faculty statisticians, assist and develop programs for statistical analysis, graphical presentation, and database management for researchers.

Evaluate, install, test, and make procedural recommendations regarding statistical and graphical software.

Organize and conduct formal and informal training for researchers regarding statistical and graphical software.

Research and evaluate new statistical software packages.

Provide other technical or computer consulting support.


Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or other discipline that emphasizes Research Methodology or Applied Statistics.


Five years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
