JOB SUMMARY

Direct and supervise the Intramural Sports phase of the program. Assist with the supervision of the recreational facilities during the summer months.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Direct and coordinate the Intramural component of the recreational sports program, which has 19,000 annual participation hours.

Coordinate the Intramural Sports Department's five major team sports: Soccer, Softball, Flag Football, Basketball and Volleyball.

Assist with the supervision and management of three recreational sports facilities during the summer months.

Directly supervise in the Intramural Sports program three nights per week and weekends as needed.

Recruit, train and supervise three Undergraduate Supervisors, two Resident Hall Coordinators and approximately 100 officials.

Direct the program assessment efforts of the Intramural component of the recreational sports program.

Assist the Director with special projects and assignments.

Assist the Assistant Vice President for Student Life with special projects (serve as Non-Academic Student Discipline Officer; hear and adjudicate cases of students who have been charged with violations of the code of Student Conduct.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Master's degree in Sports Administration or related field. NIRSA membership, Recreation Sports Specialist Certification and CPR Certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Two years of related experience. Officiating experience in two sports preferred.  An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
