Develop and direct the operational and personnel activities in the Center for Geographical Information Systems.


Maintain, plan, and implement operations including development, coordination, supervision, and evaluations of operations.

Development, coordination, and supervision of contracts with clients of the Center.

Submit grants and acquire contractual work through private enterprise.

Maintain system data files.

Act as the GIS web programmer and developer.

Act as the GIS expert for the Logistics and Distribution Institute.

Facilitate faculty and staff research.

Act as the Geography and Geosciences GIS Professor. Teaches GIS through other department curriculums. Acts as an Environmental Systems Research Institute Certified GIS Instructor.

Provide work plan and authorize all project assignments. Verify and monitor project accuracy and time schedules.


Master's degree in the field of study of Geography, Urban Planning, Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, or related field.


Five years of related experience, with experience or training using Geographic Information Systems. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
