JOB SUMMARY

Direct the human resources of the unit. Develop and implement unit's long-range and short-term service plans. Manages unit budget; resource deployment, revenue generation, monitor expenditures, revenue, and managing projects including human resources and expenditures.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the human resources of the unit including personnel functions (recruiting, hiring, training, career development, evaluation, individual action plans, discipline, etc.

Develop and implement the long range and short term service plans, goals, policies and procedures for unit. Coordinate planning with other IT service units and assist with IT wide planning efforts. Encourage, benchmark, and measure innovation and improved delivery of communication services (voice, data and video).

Prepare, project and manage Communication Services budgets, including resource deployment, revenue generation, monitor expenditures and revenue, manage infrastructure and special projects budgets, human resources and scheduling of major infrastructure projects.

Develop and promote Communications Services relationship with its customers and other IT service units. Improve and maintain service levels and customer satisfaction, encourage innovation and improved delivery of these services (introduce new concepts and methodologies that embrace new business processing paradigms, including legacy integration, team concept processes and restructuring).

 

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

 

EXPERIENCE

Nine years of related experience. in a related field and three years of related experience.  Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirement.
