Arts & Sciences Service Learning LLC

The Service Learning Living Learning Community is for students that have a passion for helping others.

Students in this LLC will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of service experiences that develop leadership skills and foster civic engagement.First year students will participate in service projects and other community related programming throughout the year. Students will learn the many ways they can contribute to campus, local, and global communities. This community provides students with an ideal opportunity to share their enthusiasm for serving. Required courses for the Service Learning Community:

  • GEN 101 - A&S Orientation
  • A general education course

What are the benefits of participating in the Service Learning Community?

  • Gain a network of friends.
  • Ease the transition to UofL and University culture.
  • Participate in meaningful experiences like service, involvement, and campus events. 

Who can apply for the Service Learning Community?

  • First-year students with any major within the College of Arts & Sciences that have an interest in community service.
  • If you are interested in applying, please fill out our housing application. After completing the housing application, please complete the Service Learning Community application.
