Public Health LLC Application

The Public Health Living-Learning Community is open to any student majoring in public health.  It brings students together in a dynamic, engaging environment. This residential community fosters exploration of this career path through courses, programming, services, and connections to campus and community resources. This community is housed in Community Park.  Participating students are expected to keep Wednesday mornings from 8:30-9:50 free for PH LLC Programming.

As a public health student, you can expect to receive the following services:

  • opportunities to meet faculty and staff outside the classroom setting
  • programming to assist you in becoming more successful as a student and professional
  • social activities to assist you in getting to know community members and the campus better

REQUIRED COURSES:
Freshmen are required to take some of the following courses:

Fall
PHUN-100 - Majoring in Public Health (1 hr.)
PHUN-101 – Introduction to Public Health (3 hrs.)
ENG 101 (3 hrs.)
BIOLOGY and LAB (4 hrs.)
COM 115- Interpersonal Communications (3hrs.)

Spring
PHUN-110 - Learning about Public Health (2 hrs.)
ENG 102 (3 hrs.)
HUM 152- Cultures of America (2 hrs.)

(PHUN 100 and 101 meet General Education requirements and are transferable to other majors)

This application is binding for both Fall and Spring semesters. Remember that you must also apply for housing.
