Senior Honors Thesis Online Initiation Form

The Proposal Form to complete a Senior Honors Thesis through the University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences.

To submit a proposal to complete a Senior Honors Thesis for the College of Arts & Sciences, you must meet the minimum qualifications as defined under the Eligibility Requirements section and complete and submit the following documentation to Katherine Rucker by the appropriate advertised deadlines*:

1)      Completed Online Initiation Form (below)
2)      Completed Thesis Initiation Packet (submit to Katherine Rucker via email at katherine.rucker@louisville.edu)
3)      Thesis Proposal Document with Bibliography (upload to ThinkIR A&S Senior Honors Thesis website using these instructions)

*Please do not submit any materials until you have reviewed the Process for Completing a Senior Honors Thesis.

The completed Online Initiation Form and Thesis proposal document must be received no later than the advertised deadlines.

The thesis initiation packet must be signed by both your thesis supervisor AND your department chair OR the departmental thesis contact.  Occasionally, students will have a primary research mentor who is not a U of L faculty member (for example, research conducted at another institution).  In this situation, you must identify a U of L faculty member to serve as your local mentor and the U of L mentor must sign the thesis initiation packet to indicate that he/she is willing to serve in this role.

Failure to submit all Senior Honors Thesis proposal materials by the published deadlines will result in forfeiture of eligibility for College of Arts & Sciences year-end awards (i.e. Woodcock Medal, Best Thesis, etc).
