A. Glenn Crothers
A. Glenn Crothers received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 1997. After eight years at Indiana University Southeast, he came to UofL and the Filson Historical Society (where he is Director of Research) in 2005 . A specialist in southern U.S. history before 1865, Crothers has published articles on southern economic development, southern Quakers, and history pedagogy. He is presently completing his book manuscript, The Quakers of Northern Virginia, 1730-1865: Negotiating Communities and Cultures.
