Conference Registration

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! YOU WILL FIND INFORMATION ON FEES AND TOURS BELOW! YOU CAN ALSO UPDATE YOUR REGISTRATION (OR BOOK ADDITIONAL TOURS) LATER!

As you will notice, we had to increase registration fees for SMH 2018. Your registration fees will cover the Opening Reception, the Graduate Reception, and the Saturday Keynote Address and Reception, including two drink tickets for each event (and ample food). Beyond mere consumption, registration fees have to cover a whole host of other expenses at such large conferences – from A/V support ($38,000) to credit card and processing fees ($7,500), submission and registration software ($2,600), printing and signage ($5,600), transportation ($1,625), travel for SMH staff, websites and design ($700), badges and totes ($3,200), just to name just a few spending categories. In order to boost usage of the free mobile phone app for our program, we will ask attendees to pay a small feel during the registration process if they want to receive a printed program.

Please note that SMH 2018 will no longer feature an Awards Luncheon, nor a Saturday Evening Banquet. Instead, we will have a Keynote Address by Dr. Christopher Philips on the Ohio River Valley during the Civil War on Saturday, followed by a reception.
