First-Gen Cards Program

Firt Gen CommunityThe First-Gen Cards Program provides students with multiple layers of support: academic support, social connection, even the opportunity to apply for financial support! Students who opt into this free program can take part in community-building meetups and skills-building workshops as well as other fun activities and opportunities to grow your network.

Benefits of being part of First-Gen Cards include:

  • meetups and community-building opportunities with other first-gen students and peer leaders
  • skills-building workshops
  • networking opportunities
  • one-on-one meeting with success coach to create a personal success plan
  • fun activities
  • ongoing support and connection with other first-gen students and First-Gen Cards program staff

All participants who complete a minimum number of engagement opportunities are eligible to apply for a $300 grant toward Summer or Fall enrollment. More information about completion criteria, grant eligibility, and the grant application process will be provided in January.
