The CDC also reports autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability affecting 1 in 68 children born in the United States. There are no cures for autism, however there are strategies to support development. Children do not 'outgrow' autism, but studies show that early diagnosis and intervention lead to significantly improved outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will learn what is autism?
Participants will learn how to define characteristics (i.e. Communication, Social and Restrictive or repetitive behaviors)
Participants will learn what some of the characteristics look like in children with autism (i.e. behaviors)
