The number of children diagnosed with autism each year is growing rapidly. Once receiving the diagnosis, many caregivers are unsure what the future holds. Because autism is a spectrum disorder, needs vary greatly among individuals making treatment planning and options difficult. This webinar will outline some common strengths and weaknesses of children with autism, discuss how to determine what interventions may be effective for your child and give information about additional resources that may be helpful.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will realize the importance of identifying their child's strengths and weaknesses and how to determine next steps based on those needs.
2. Participants will learn about different types of resources and interventions available.
3. Participants will explore some effective coping strategies aimed at helping families and children.
