PLACES WE HAVE INTERNED:

Our internships can be either paid or unpaid, and we estimate the overall economic impact of our internship program to be in excess of $500,000 annually. Approximately 50 students work in an internship for academic credit each semester. In addition, dozens more students are volunteering in a variety of sport industry positions in and around Louisville. The internship for academic credit is a culminating experience for our students and our industry partners know and expect our students to make valuable contributions to the field while gaining critical industry experience.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

University of Louisville Sport Administration (SPAD) students gain valuable insight and practical experience through internships. The locations are selected by the students in cooperation with their advisors and the SPAD Faculty Internship Coordinators. All for-credit internships are conducted under the supervision of a Sport Administration Faculty Internship Coordinator and an industry Site Supervisor. The SPAD Program provides a variety of internship and job search services as well as career development services for students.
