Jane Elliott: "Power and Prejudice"
The College of Arts and Sciences will host Jane Elliott, an internationally known teacher, lecturer, diversity trainer, and renowned author of the controversial exercise, “Blue Eyes, Brown Eyes” on the UofL campus.

At her UofL presentation, Jane Elliott will share her view that racism is an emotional commitment to ignorance and to educate means to lead students out of ignorance, discuss what a racist is and what we should do about it. She'll talk about recent events, such as the significance of several Kentucky school districts and schools failure to allow school children to listen to the President of the United States' September 8, 2009 speech on the importance of education.
