Each year the Association of Black Students plans and hosts the BSU, which  has three

 goals:

1) Create an avenue for dialogue about current affairs on U of L's campus;

2) Raise awareness of current initiatives affecting the African American community

from a student perspective;

3) Providing an opportunity for staff, faculty and students to network and create

connections

This year's event will include:

- Keynote address from Mr. Lasana Hotep (www.lasanahotep.com)

- Address by the President of the Association of Black Students, Richard Funches

- Announcement of the new student-led Endowment for African American Programming

- Opportunities to network and socialize over heavy hor'dourves
