Cultural Center

The mission of the Cultural Center at the University of Louisville is to help create an inclusive campus climate that is free of bias and hate where students, faculty, staff and alumni work together towards creating positive change in our surrounding community.  Working towards that mission, the Cultural Center offers and supports co-curricular and extra-curricular programs that acknowledge and reflect the experiences of our under-represented populations.  We also provide educational opportunities for the entire campus community that help to examine their individual and group experiences within a culturally diverse society.  The underlying goals of our endeavors are to provide advocacy for our students, celebrate our diverse campus community, and engage each other in social justice issues.For more information contact the Executive Director for Diversity and Equity,  To learn more about the Cultural Center click here

The LGBT Center works to strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus community at the University of Louisville, one that welcomes people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions through support, educational resources, and advocacy. Muhammad Ali Institute for Peace and Social Justice

The Muhammad Ali Institute for Peace and Justice (MAI) advances the work, study, and practice of peacebuilding, social justice, and violence prevention at the University of Louisville with a focus on developing young leaders. Our work is inspired by Muhammad Ali’s courage, passion, and conviction, as well as his work as a transformational humanitarian and tireless advocate for freedom, justice, and equality. MAI celebrates Muhammad Ali’s vision of a better world in collaboration with the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, and others committed to his legacy. MAI’s hallmark, the Muhammad Ali Scholars Program, offers a two-year mentored scholarship dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders to serve as agents of peace and justice in their communities. MAI’s innovative educational programs, research, training, and service initiatives further peace and justice by promoting respect for human dignity, fostering social responsibility, and seeking to reduce violence in local, national, and international arenas. Women's Center

The mission of the Women's Center is to promote equality, to increase women's self-reliance and heighten the understanding of women's contributions to all societies. The Women's Center carries out this mission by building alliances with campus and community groups and designing programs that encourage participation, including performances, discussion, exhibitions; by involving women and men of diverse races, classes, ethnic origins, sexual orientations, and age groups in creative activities contributing to public education, research, and policy development; and by producing informative and coalition-building publications.
