McCants inducted in ADEA Leadership Institute Class of 2014

Dr. Jennifer McCants is one of two dozen promising dental education leaders

Each of the 24 American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Leadership Institute Fellows was selected for the yearlong education experience through a competitive application process. The ADEA Leadership Institute will prepare these educators for expanded roles in their institutions and the profession. They emerge not only with the knowledge and skills necessary for their careers, but also with greater self-understanding and deeper personal vision.

Designed to assist the nation's most promising individuals at academic institutions in becoming leaders in dental and higher education, ADEA Leadership Institute sessions cover leadership theory, team building, communications, managing change, public policy, educational policy, legal issues, research, and budgeting and financial management, designed to guide and enhance professional development.

UofL assistant professor Dr. Jennifer McCants was inducted into the 2014 class  during the ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition held  March 16-19, 2013 in Seattle, Washington.
